Köln - Schlaun-Wettbewerb 2023-2024.

​The objective of the project was a contest-development project for the former site of the market, which includes consolidation and an increase in the density of the area, a qualitative improvement in the affordability of an important point of gravity of the area and a possible proposal to solve the problem of a transport interchange, which poses a certain threat to life.

 

The project proposes to solve the problem by increasing the utility of the occupied area by introducing vertically multilevel traffic flow distribution. The creation of an underground part of the transport interchange also makes it possible to prevent the problem of flooding, which is relevant for this region of Germany, where this structure can play the role of water drainage.

 

The visual image was based on a river motif of the city.
